The Ministry of Transport has just approved the investment policy for the Cam Ly railway bridge project, Km24+134, Kep - Ha Long railway route.
The project aims to reduce the load on the existing railway bridge to ensure smooth traffic in the Bac Giang region, minimize impacts on railway operations and exploitation; gradually complete National Highway 37 according to the plan; strengthen connectivity, improve exploitation capacity, minimize traffic accidents, meet transportation needs on the transport corridor from Bac Giang and Hai Duong to localities in the Northern key economic region to promote socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security.
The project has a total estimated investment of 799.55 billion VND, capital allocated in the 2021-2025 period from the central budget.
The Ministry of Transport approved the investment policy for the Cam Ly railway bridge project ( Bac Giang ) to separate the current road-railway bridge to ensure safety.
The Ministry of Transport assigned the Railway Project Management Board as the investor, to basically complete by 2025.
The project starts at Cam Ly commune, Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province; the end point is at Bac Lung commune, Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province. The total length of the route is about 3,014m.
In terms of scale, the road section is designed according to the design speed standard of 80km/h. The project design ensures technical requirements according to road level standards, ensuring required clearance according to regulations on management of waterway and railway infrastructure, intersection with the right dike of Luc Nam River and flood drainage requirements of the area.
Cam Ly road bridge is about 631m long; the railway overpass (Kep - Ha Long route) is about 175m long; the upper structure is expected to use reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete spans, the lower structure is reinforced concrete.
At the same time, fully invest in horizontal and vertical drainage systems; arrange traffic safety systems according to regulations; arrange lighting systems to serve traffic.
The Railway Project Management Board is responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies to complete the project Feasibility Study Report and submit it to competent authorities for approval in accordance with legal regulations; Organize project implementation to ensure progress, quality and efficiency.
At the same time, pay attention to conducting detailed surveys to continue to evaluate and compare, propose scale and design solutions to ensure suitability with actual conditions of the construction area, meet transportation needs, construction safety, and ensure economic and technical efficiency.
Agree with relevant agencies on the connection of project technical infrastructure, design elevation of works to have appropriate design solutions, ensure train safety, waterway safety, construction safety, flood drainage capacity, and minimize impact on the lives of people in the area the route passes through.
