Promote scientific research linking theory with practice

Comrade Cam Van An, Vice Principal of the Provincial Political School, said: The school established a Scientific Council, an Initiative Council and a Newsletter Editorial Board, with lecturers with research and professional capacity to advise the Board of Directors in orienting, organizing, evaluating scientific research activities and summarizing practices, in conjunction with political tasks, Party resolutions, programs and curriculum of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, contributing to clarifying and improving the teaching content of each subject.

Over the past 5 years, the Provincial Political School has implemented 26 topics and projects at the grassroots and provincial levels. Some typical topics that have been highly appreciated are: "Research on some solutions to promote the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the grassroots level in building new rural areas in Son La province until 2025 and orientation to 2030"; "Current situation and solutions to improve the quality of intermediate political theory training in Son La province"; "Project No. 08-DA/TU dated January 19, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on building and developing the Provincial Political School to meet standards for the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030"... 100% of scientific topics after acceptance are transferred to faculties, departments and a number of relevant agencies. Thereby, helping agencies, units and localities have more scientific and practical arguments to apply to leadership, direction, deployment and effective implementation of assigned political tasks. At the same time, helping lecturers of the Provincial Political School update and gain in-depth understanding of the field that directly serves the training and fostering work.

From scientific research activities and practical summaries, the Provincial Political School has researched and compiled into a set of lectures and documents for training and fostering classes, such as: Researching, compiling and accepting the lecture series "Practice and experience in building and developing localities" of the Intermediate Political Theory program; compiling a set of documents "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints" to serve the work of training and fostering cadres...

Master Bui Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Training Management and Scientific Research, shared: Scientific topics not only clarify theoretical values but also connect with practice, helping lecturers conduct in-depth research and master their expertise to serve the training and fostering tasks. The topics are highly applicable in management and teaching, helping students grasp the lectures and have the mindset to apply them to the practical professional tasks of each locality and work unit.

From 2020 to now, the school has organized 12 school-level scientific seminars, 7 provincial-level and equivalent seminars (including 1 emulation cluster, 1 ministerial-level, 5 provincial-level), exceeding the norm according to the criteria of a standard political school. Typically: In 2022, the Provincial Political School advised the Provincial Party Committee to coordinate with departments and institutes of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, central ministries, Party committees under the Provincial Party Committee, departments and branches in the province to successfully organize a ministerial-level scientific seminar with the theme: "Developing the production and consumption linkage chain of agricultural products in Son La province in the new context". Through the seminar, there were many discussions assessing the current situation and some issues, solutions to develop production and consumption linkage of agricultural products in Son La province in the new context; some models of production and consumption linkage of agricultural products in the world and implications for Vietnamese agriculture; the role of agricultural product linkage chain in socio-economic development; Short supply chain of agricultural products in Son La province in the context of EVFTA implementation; the Party's viewpoint on promoting the development of linkage chains in production, purchasing, processing, and consumption of fruit products... are valuable scientific bases for Son La province as well as other localities to research and apply in practice.

Promoting scientific research is not only a requirement of the standardization process of the Provincial Political School, but also helps the school's staff and lecturers to link theory with practice, serve teaching, meet the requirements of political theory training for cadres of the province, and contribute to the development of Son La homeland.
