The development of costume rental services not only brings joy to tourists but also opens up a new direction for economic development, helping to improve the lives of ethnic minorities. In Hang Tau primitive village, Ta So village, Moc Chau ward, the number of visitors has increased in recent years, forming a number of services to meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing and experience. People participate in tourism by renting costumes, renting horses, selling souvenirs or local specialties...

Ms. Trang Thi Do, Ta So village, Moc Chau ward, shared: With so many tourists coming, many people rent ethnic clothes and pants to take pictures, I have boldly invested in the service of renting Mong ethnic costumes. The costumes for rent are made by the women in the village; the rental price for each set is from 30,000 - 50,000 VND, depending on the newness and sophistication of the costume, complete with accessories such as umbrellas, baskets, necklaces, bracelets. Every time I see tourists wearing our ethnic costumes and happily taking pictures, I feel very proud.

Not only small households, many large tourist areas and attractions have also put this service into professional exploitation. Mr. Ngo Tien Huong, Director of Mocha Hill Tourist Area, Van Son Ward, said: Coming here, in addition to experiencing hand-picking tea, learning about the production process, enjoying delicious tea in the fresh nature, visitors can also choose for themselves ethnic costumes to take photos on the tea hills and check-in points in the tourist area. Moc Chau Hill has invested in costumes of ethnic groups such as Mong, Thai, Dao... with diverse designs and quality, contributing to promoting the cultural beauty of ethnic groups in Moc Chau plateau to tourists.

Walking around famous tourist attractions such as: Moc Chau Tea Village; Mocha Hill tourist area; Heart-shaped tea hill area; Dai Yem waterfall tourist area; Happy Land Moc Chau and community tourism villages, it is not difficult to see groups of young people and families eagerly choosing ethnic costumes. From the gorgeous flared skirts of the Mong people with meticulously hand-embroidered brocade patterns, to the charming Com shirts and Pieu scarves of the Thai people, each costume is a work of art, containing the cultural story and quintessence of each ethnic group on the Moc Chau plateau.

Enthusiastically posing for photos next to the tea hills in the Mong ethnic costume, Ms. Do Khanh Ngoc, a tourist from Hanoi , excitedly shared: This is the third time I have come to Moc Chau, but it is the first time I have tried on the Mong ethnic costume. When I put on this dress, I not only feel more beautiful and outstanding, but also feel a deep connection with the land and people here. Every stitch, every pattern on the dress is very sophisticated. The vibrant colors of the costume stand out against the green background of the tea hills, creating unforgettable souvenir photos.

If the Mong people's costumes impress with their sophistication and brilliance, the Thai people's costumes have a gentle, delicate beauty, especially highlighting the charm of women. Wearing the Thai ethnic group's Com dress, Ms. Nguyen Lan Chi, a tourist from Hung Yen province, said: I was really attracted by the beauty of this costume. The body-hugging shirt, the sparkling silver buttons and the Pieu scarf on the head create a beauty that is both discreet and seductive. Wearing this outfit and walking in the charming natural scenery of Moc Chau, I feel like I have transformed into a mountain girl, my soul also becomes much lighter and more relaxed.

Wearing traditional costumes of ethnic groups not only helps tourists have impressive “check-in” photos, but is also a way for them to learn and appreciate traditional cultural values. And especially, each tourist becomes a “cultural ambassador”, contributing to spreading the unique beauty of Moc Chau plateau, Son La, and the Northwest to domestic and international friends.
