Promote waste collection, protect and maintain environmental hygiene

To ensure the conditions for organizing groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of large-scale projects and works in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has directed provincial departments, branches and sectors; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio, Television; People's Committees of communes and wards to step up waste collection, protect and maintain environmental sanitation towards the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2.

Organize the collection, reception, classification and timely treatment of waste according to regulations, not allowing waste to accumulate, causing unsanitary conditions and environmental pollution.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of communes and wards; unions and related agencies and units to focus on directing environmental sanitation along routes and locations of groundbreaking and inauguration events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, to be completed before August 17. Launch a movement for the whole people to join hands to protect the environment, participate in general environmental sanitation to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2. Closely coordinate with socio -political organizations in the province to organize, guide, supervise and implement the movement for the whole people to join hands to protect the environment and clean up in residential areas and public areas.

Review and arrange appropriate garbage collection locations in accordance with regulations, public trash bins, equipment, and means of collecting and transporting waste in accordance with regulations in residential areas, markets, bus stations, schools, entertainment areas, especially on routes from Tan Thanh ward to locations holding activities and events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

Organize the collection, reception, classification and timely treatment of waste in accordance with regulations, not allowing waste to accumulate, causing unsanitary conditions and environmental pollution, especially in residential areas, public places, tourist areas, streets, village roads, alleys, canals, ponds, lakes, rivers, and coastlines in the days before, during and after the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. Strengthen inspection, supervision and strict handling of violations of environmental protection regulations, especially littering in accordance with regulations.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to study and consider directing member organizations to promote propaganda and mobilize members and people of all walks of life to actively participate in environmental protection, maintain cleanliness of streets, alleys, residential areas, rivers, lakes, ponds, canals, and drainage systems. Promote the role of social supervision and criticism of waste collection, transportation, and treatment activities, ensure compliance with legal regulations, promptly detect and recommend handling of violations that cause environmental pollution. Guide and organize movements and campaigns associated with environmental criteria; at the same time, coordinate with local authorities at all levels to organize general cleaning campaigns and waste collection to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

Ca Mau Newspaper, Radio and Television; news agencies and newspapers in the province are responsible for increasing the time of propaganda on environmental sanitation work to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2; creating a strong spread, motivating, calling, and encouraging people to actively participate and enjoy the results.

Provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of communes, wards, unions and relevant functional agencies and units in the province, according to their assigned functions and tasks, closely coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to implement the above contents; at the same time, maintain environmental hygiene at agencies, headquarters and workplaces to celebrate the 80th National Day September 2.

The People's Committees of communes and wards along the routes from Tan Thanh ward to the locations and at the locations of groundbreaking and inauguration events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, are responsible for completing environmental sanitation before August 17.

The Department of Construction reviews, organizes patching and repairs of damaged road sections, traffic signs, and traffic lights (if any) along the routes from Tan Thanh ward to the location of the groundbreaking and inauguration events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, to be completed before August 17, 2025.
