Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of the La Lay International Border Guard Station, La Lay Border Customs and units on duty at the border gate. At the places visited, he hoped that the units would continue to promote their sense of responsibility, closely coordinate with local authorities in ensuring security and order in the border area, facilitate customs clearance of goods through the border gate and focus on natural disaster prevention and control. On the same day, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong directly inspected the implementation of two projects to handle unsafe traffic locations on National Highway 15D connecting Ho Chi Minh Road, West Branch, to La Lay International Border Gate. He requested the investor and construction unit to focus human resources and means to handle unsafe traffic locations before August 15 to ensure safety before the rainy and stormy season.

Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong directly inspected the construction project of Hung Vuong road in Ai Tu commune, connecting the East-West Economic Corridor and the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone under the BIIG2 project.

Currently, the project has 112m of unfinished site clearance, leading to the risk of delays. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong requested the investor and the construction unit to closely coordinate with the local government to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work so that people understand the benefits of the project, creating consensus among the people. The construction unit needs to organize forces and means to speed up the project implementation progress; while working, complete the project volume dossier so as not to affect the progress of disbursement of public investment capital of the province.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong also directly inspected the construction site of the My Thuy port investment project in My Thuy commune with an area of 685 hectares, a scale of 10 berths for ships up to 100,000 DWT, invested by My Thuy International Port Joint Venture Joint Stock Company.
