BBK - The Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has recently issued a document to petroleum wholesalers, petroleum distributors, and general agents regarding the promotion of digitalization in petroleum business.

Accordingly, in accordance with Document No. 175/TB-VPCP dated April 13, 2025, from the Government Office, which announces the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the Government at the meeting to receive and explain the opinions of Government members on the draft Decree replacing Decree No. 83 dated September 3, 2014, of the Government on petroleum business and the Decrees amending and supplementing Decree No. 83.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development has issued a document requesting petroleum wholesalers, petroleum distributors, and general agents to accelerate the application of digitalization in petroleum business management, while emphasizing that digitalization in the petroleum business sector must be completed before April 30, 2025.

Any trader or business owner who fails to comply with regulations on electronic invoices, including electronic invoices generated from point-of-sale systems for each sale and data connection to the tax authorities, will be considered ineligible to trade in petroleum products and their license will be revoked.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development also requires units to seriously implement reporting on the National Petroleum Business Management and Operation Database System at the website: quanlyxangdau.moit.gov.vn./.
