On August 5, in Hanoi, the Economic and Urban Newspaper coordinated with the Hanoi Center for Communications, Data and Digital Technology to organize a discussion with the theme: "Hanoi with the 45-day and night campaign to support communes and wards in digital transformation".
The seminar aims to share experiences, draw lessons, find solutions to overcome difficulties, and contribute to responding to Directive 11/CT-UBND of the Chairman of the City People's Committee on implementing the Campaign "45 days and nights of launching to support digital transformation activities in communes and wards in the initial phase of operating the 2-level local government model".
Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper Nguyen Thanh Loi said: Currently, the entire political system of the city is determined and united in a proactive and scientific spirit to operate the two-level local government system. Activities not only focus on perfecting the apparatus and ensuring resources, but are also associated with promoting digital transformation, decentralization, and delegation of power with the ultimate goal of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management and the quality of service to people and businesses.
To improve the effectiveness of information technology application and digital transformation, on July 24, 2025, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed and issued Directive No. 11/CT-UBND on implementing the Campaign "45 days and nights of launching to support digital transformation activities in communes and wards in the initial phase of operating the 2-level local government model".
Through the discussion, the Economic and Urban Newspaper hopes to contribute to spreading the Campaign, expressing Hanoi's expectations on ensuring the smooth operation of shared digital platforms, improving the capacity of grassroots officials, especially spreading digital awareness and skills to each citizen.

The Department of Science and Technology has coordinated with units to mobilize forces including students majoring in engineering, information technology and telecommunications from educational institutions in Hanoi to join the city's youth union members to go to the grassroots and public administrative service points to help and support civil servants and communes and wards to serve the people, ensure work progress as well as promptly return results to the people.

During the implementation process, some localities have made breakthroughs and innovations, typically Cua Nam Ward. Vice Chairman of Cua Nam Ward People's Committee Trinh Ngoc Tram said that the ward has clearly identified the spirit of innovation and built a development strategy with a focus on making science and technology the foundation and key to promoting local socio-economic development.
In particular, at the Cua Nam Ward Public Administration Service Point (address: 29 Quang Trung Street, Hanoi), the ward has introduced AI robots to support the implementation of administrative procedures, which is a breakthrough, demonstrating the determination to innovate of the ward government. AI robots are not only a technological device, but also a "friendly administrative staff", providing effective support and bringing new experiences to the people.
