The project also considers creating conditions for children of people who have given up their land to have a "place" to work here.
Working at the airport considered the most modern in Southeast Asia is the dream of many people, especially locals. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, when Long Thanh airport is put into operation, it is expected to need 13,769 workers.
However, the aviation industry is unique, and requires very high standards and professional qualifications when recruiting. Not every unit can provide training because it must be licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority. Up to this point, only 25 units nationwide have been licensed to provide training.
Faced with the above problems, Dong Nai is trying to find solutions. One of the directions that the "homeowner" is aiming for is to open a vocational training school specializing in aviation right in the locality. Because if Dong Nai has such training facilities, it will be an advantage for children in the province, reducing costs during the study process.
But that is in theory, the wish of Dong Nai leaders. To make this a reality, it depends on many factors.
Calling for private investment will help save initial investment costs and create conditions for private schools to develop. However, this plan still needs to take into account a number of factors. Specifically, it is necessary to clearly identify the specific human resource needs of each stage and each field in the aviation industry in order to have a suitable training plan. In addition, there needs to be close coordination between departments, sectors and localities to effectively implement the plan, avoiding the situation where the children of those who gave up land for Long Thanh airport fall into the situation of "having fame but not having money".
