In the series of spring volunteer activities in 2026, the program "Sharing a Spring - Sharing a Heart" organized by the Youth Union - Federation of Youth Associations - Children's Council of Ngu Hanh Son ward in Avuong commune (a sister unit) left a strong impression. More than 30 cadres, union members, and young people, in coordination with the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, brought the spirit of spring from the city to the high-altitude border region through concrete, persistent, and responsible actions.
According to Le Xuan Thanh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ngu Hanh Son Ward, with the spirit of "mutual support," the program aims to care for the material and spiritual lives of people in mountainous and border areas, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between the two sister localities.
In Ta Lang village, warm handshakes amidst the chilly weather, sincere greetings to the village elders, respected figures, and struggling households created a very different spring atmosphere – quiet yet profound. Beyond simply giving gifts, the delegation listened, shared, and acknowledged the concerns of the villagers, ensuring that support programs would not be merely seasonal.
The highlight of the journey was the youth project "Lighting up the border - Igniting the red of faith." The solar power system and the national flag-lined road, worth 22 million VND, not only improved living conditions but also ignited a sense of national sovereignty and instilled pride in every household in the border region.

Simultaneously, over 150 households received free medical examinations, consultations, and medication; 220 welfare gifts worth a total of 90 million VND were distributed to families and children. These small items—warm jackets, notebooks, pens, and helmets—contained the enduring care and concern of the youth.
Beyond immediate support, the "Sharing with Farmers" program provided breeding pigs and technical advice on livestock farming to local youth, opening up long-term livelihood opportunities. In particular, the donation of 5 smart TVs and a reading library worth 45 million VND under the "For Border Students" program has opened doors to knowledge, contributing to raising the intellectual level and fostering a reading habit in the highlands. The total cost of implementation in Avương reached 200 million VND, demonstrating the joint efforts of local officials, union members, and businesses.
In another area, in Lien Chieu ward, the "Spring Volunteer Program 2026 - A Spring of Compassion in Lien Chieu - Phuoc Tra" continued to extend the spirit of sharing. 100 gift packages for students, 5 gift packages for disadvantaged youth union members, and 200 red scarves were handed out directly, funded by a fundraising campaign involving the sale of lucky money envelopes – a small but meaningful act demonstrating the social responsibility of young people.
In An Hai ward, the twinning program with Tra Linh commune was marked by the handover of a solidarity house worth 80 million VND to a poor household, along with hundreds of Tet gifts from the joint efforts of businesses, schools, and organizations. Mr. Hoang Cong Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Hai ward, said that the gifts and new houses have given more motivation for the people of Tra Linh commune to have a more fulfilling and warm Tet holiday. Meanwhile, in Tra Tap (Tra My district), the City Women's Union handed over 50 gifts to disadvantaged women in each commune, giving them more motivation to get through the lean season.
This year's volunteer activities are not just trips to deliver gifts, but enduring bridges connecting urban areas and mountainous regions, linking present responsibilities with a long-term future. Spring, therefore, not only arrives earlier but also lingers longer in people's hearts.
