The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7. This year, the number of 9th grade students taking the junior high school graduation exam is 113,802. Of which, the total number of candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam is 96,325, divided into groups: Candidates who only registered for 3 regular wishes are 88,237; candidates who registered for integrated wishes are 1,147; candidates who registered for specialized wishes are 6,941, of which 236 are from other provinces.

The exam takes place at 158 ​​exam sites (including 147 regular exam sites and 11 specialized exam sites) with 4,102 exam rooms (including 3,778 regular grade 10 exam rooms - 24 candidates/room, each exam site will have 3 additional backup exam rooms).

Students take the exam in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language. The exam time for Math and Literature is 120 minutes. The exam time for Foreign Language is 90 minutes. The admission score for grade 10 is usually = Math score + Literature score + Foreign Language score + incentive points (if any).

Candidates will be able to register for three priority wishes 1, 2, 3 for admission to grade 10 of public high schools (except Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City National University).
