This year, the High School for Natural Sciences received 2,975 applications for both first and second choices, with an average competition ratio of 6.61. The highest competition ratio for the IT class is 9.93, followed by the Math class with 1 to 7.

The school has two forms of admission: selection and entrance exam. In the entrance exam form, candidates will have two rounds of exams. In the first round, all candidates must take two general exams: Literature and Math, with a test time of 120 minutes for each subject.
Round 2: Candidates will take the specialized subject exam corresponding to the specialized class they registered for, with a duration of 150 minutes. Candidates who register for two specialized classes will have to take two specialized subjects (without overlapping exam times).
The exam format is multiple choice combined with essay for Literature (round 1), essay for the remaining subjects. The exam period is from June 4 to 5.
