In the Draft Law on Social Insurance Amendment, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs proposed to add 5 benefits for employees if they choose not to receive social insurance (SI) at one time. Notably, the benefits of credit loans and free health insurance participation.
Specifically, you only need to pay social insurance for 15 years and reach retirement age to be eligible for retirement; Receive monthly allowance in case you have paid social insurance but are not eligible for pension and are not yet old enough to receive social retirement allowance; Receive health insurance guaranteed by the state budget during the period of receiving monthly allowance; Receive health insurance paid by the social insurance fund, the maximum period of health insurance is equal to the period of social insurance payment of the employee; During the time off work without a job, the employee is also entitled to credit support policies to solve immediate financial difficulties.
The notable point in these 5 benefits is that workers can enjoy free health insurance if they do not withdraw it at once.
According to current regulations, employees who have not continued to pay compulsory social insurance after leaving their jobs and want to participate in health insurance must register as a family. The current health insurance contribution rate is 4.5% of the basic salary for the first person, from the second to the fifth person, the contribution rate is 70%, 60%, 50%, 40% of the first person's premium, respectively.
Annual health insurance premiums for family members are VND972,000; VND680,400; VND583,200; VND486,000 and VND388,800 respectively and will increase when the basic salary is adjusted.
