On May 6th, the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it is seeking feedback on the fee levels, target groups, collection methods, management, and use of entrance fees at several major museums in the city.
According to the draft, the proposed entrance fee is 60,000 VND per person per visit at the Da Nang Cham Sculpture Museum. The Da Nang Museum (31 Tran Phu) and the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum (78 Le Duan) will apply the same rate of 50,000 VND per person per visit.
The Da Nang Museum's second facility at 281 Phan Boi Chau Street is also proposed to charge an entrance fee of 30,000 VND per person per visit.
For residents of Da Nang and students at educational institutions, a unified entrance fee of 20,000 VND per person per visit is proposed.

According to the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the proposed categories of people eligible for free admission include people with disabilities, those entitled to preferential policies in cultural activities, children under 16 years old and students, senior citizens aged 60 and above, and diplomatic guests.
Additionally, visitors will be exempt from admission on major holidays such as the first day of the Lunar New Year, Da Nang Liberation Day (March 29), Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, and National Day (September 2).
The participating units are entitled to retain 100% of the fees collected from tours of the facilities belonging to the Da Nang Museum, except for the Da Nang Cham Sculpture Museum, which receives 85%.
Currently, the document seeking public opinion is being sent by the Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to relevant agencies, with completion expected before May 9th to expedite the procedures for submission to the competent authorities.
