'Deadpool & Wolverine' receives a lot of compliments

Experts call the third part of "Deadpool" a turning point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, praising the performances of actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

According to Variety , the film received positive reviews from critics after an early screening on July 23. The reviews come at a crisis point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels (2023) failed at the box office.

Movie page Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a "fresh" score of 79%, writing: "Ryan Reynolds brings his wit, while Hugh Jackman plays a pivotal role in the Deadpool & Wolverine . A funny, unexpected film that harks back to a bygone era of superhero movies."

On social media X , Sean Tajipour of the site Nerdtropolis said: "The project is the most epic, bold MCU film since Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame . Ryan and Hugh are the perfect pair of actors we've been waiting for."

David Thompson from the site Direct said the film was "the bloodiest and funniest MCU film yet." "The two leads together are iconic. It's not perfect from start to finish, but it's engaging and a step in the right direction for Marvel," Thompson said.
