Review of the content of Towards Fire episode 5

In episode 5 of Going Towards Fire, the rescue team received information about a girl who was attempting suicide at the hospital. Duc Anh and Minh Long were there at the time, so they immediately went to the scene to help. Thang met with Dr. Ngoc to find out more information about the girl.

The girl’s mother is currently a patient in the hospital, completely paralyzed after a fire and unable to pay the hospital bills. When she learned that her daughter intended to commit suicide, she could not keep calm. The girl felt hopeless because she had no home, no money, no job, and was currently working as a beer marketer at a pub.

Duc Anh talked to the girl, hoping to buy time and help her stay calm. Meanwhile, Minh Long and the rescue team members tried to approach and bring the girl down safely. During the conversation, Duc Anh remembered the memories of losing his brother and showed unusual behavior.

It turned out that the girl's mother was the person Duc Anh had saved in the recent fire. Due to economic pressure, the girl had thought that her mother should not have been saved. This thought made her unable to stop blaming herself.

"Why do you save people?" - the girl questioned Duc Anh. "Have you ever wondered if those people really need you to save them? What we need is not to be saved but to be freed. I'm so tired... That day when I saw my mother being saved, I was so happy. But when I saw her lying in bed, with a pile of hospital bills, I wished you guys hadn't saved her. That thought eats away at me every day, I feel like I'm an unfilial child and deserve to die."

Duc Anh tried to convince the girl that it was just a temporary feeling of fatigue. However, the girl still decided to jump off the building. Luckily, Minh Long jumped out in time and helped the girl safely to the ground. After the incident was resolved, Duc Anh helped pay the hospital bill for the girl's mother.

Returning home late at night, Duc Anh continued to keep his habit of writing down what happened during the day. However, what the girl said made his mind restless. He could not control his emotions, his hands trembled and he threw the diary away. The abnormalities in Duc Anh's psychology became more and more obvious, and the difficulty in concentrating also caused his training performance to decline.

While still not finding the answers to his problems, Duc Anh had an interesting conversation with Minh Long after practice. Duc Anh still remembered what the girl said when standing on the rooftop.

"She's crazy. If you saved my mother, I would put you on the altar so I can worship you for three generations to come," Minh Long said indignantly. "You're not at fault at all. Now think about it the other way around. If you didn't save her mother and died in that fire, she would have been desperate and committed suicide in another way. We can only save people, we can't care about whether they're better or worse. The important thing is that she and her child are still alive."

Duc Anh attended his father's performance but did not enter the auditorium but stood in a hidden corner to watch. Hong Ngoc also came to congratulate Duc Anh's parents and realized that the relationship between Duc Anh and his family was unusual. After the performance, Ngoc and Duc Anh went for a walk together. This was the first time Duc Anh talked about the "quagmire" in his life, which was his brother Anh Duc.

In another development, Ha prepared gifts for the team members who participated in rescuing the girl who attempted suicide. When receiving the gift from Ha, Minh Long was very happy and even kissed the paper with Ha's message.
