Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on April 4 to 4:00 p.m. on April 5, the whole country recorded 51 cases, the highest in many months. This is the third consecutive day that the number of cases has increased compared to the days of many previous weeks.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,527,454 infections, ranking 13th out of 230 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 121st out of 230 countries and territories (on average, there are 116,494 infections per 1 million people).

During the day, 23 patients were announced to have recovered, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,615,014. The number of patients on oxygen is 7, an increase of 2 cases compared to yesterday, including one patient on high-flow oxygen.

The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,186, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The total number of deaths ranks 26th out of 230 territories, and the number of deaths per 1 million people ranks 141st out of 230 countries and territories in the world .

On April 4, 3,906 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of doses of vaccine injected is 266,002,037 doses.
