Recently, the prestigious British magazine Time Out announced Ha Giang as one of the 44 most beautiful destinations in the world. This title is a source of pride, but also poses a great responsibility in preserving and promoting the image of the most beautiful destination in the world.

It is with pride that in a short time, Ha Giang has been continuously honored by prestigious organizations, newspapers and magazines at home and abroad, putting us on par with famous tourist destinations in the world. That is not a polite compliment, because in the condition that Ha Giang is a remote land, there is no highway connecting to the center, the infrastructure serving tourism is on the rise, then it is an accurate recognition. Looking at the number of tourists flocking to Ha Giang, the restaurants and hotels are always fully booked, we can be proud of one of the most beautiful and attractive destinations in the world.

At the ceremony to honor typical businesses and individuals in 2024 of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh, Chairman of the Ha Giang Tourism Association, was excited to be present not only as a representative of Ha Giang but also his H'Mong village resort was honored to receive the award for Typical Green Resort - Excellent level. Previously, H'Mong village was awarded the Asean Green Hotel award. No one believed that in a previously difficult and dry rocky mountain location, but thanks to bold thinking, H'Mong village became a typical example of "with human strength, rocks can turn into rice" of Ha Giang tourism. Thereby, it is typical establishments like H'Mong village that have contributed to making Ha Giang a cultural destination, a beautiful destination of Asia and the world. As shared by Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh, he as well as members of the Provincial Tourism Association always uphold the responsibility of building a unique, friendly and professional image of Ha Giang tourism.

Through discussions with Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is known that with the determination to build a tourist destination with cultural identity and sustainable development, in recent years, Ha Giang has paid attention to and done well in promoting the values ​​and good cultural identities of ethnic groups, awakening tourism potential. Along with that is the focus on building an increasingly friendly and professional tourist destination. Up to now, the province has issued a Code of Conduct for civilized tourism in Ha Giang, including the code of conduct for tourists when coming to Ha Giang, the code of conduct for travel agencies, tour guides, accommodation establishments, tourist transport units, food service units, entertainment venues serving tourists, etc.

Tourists bring love and pride to Ha Giang.

Joining hands to make a breakthrough in tourism as set out by the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, sectors, levels and localities in the province are always interested in developing tourism - services. With rich and unique tourism potential, it can be said that the Party Committees of districts and many localities have included the goal of tourism development in their development resolutions. All localities have linked the implementation of Resolution 27 of the Provincial Party Committee on eliminating backward customs and practices, building a civilized life with the promotion of good cultural values, festivals and traditional occupations to improve spiritual life associated with tourism development. That effort affirms that we have become an emerging destination, a leading regional cultural destination in Asia, these are very accurate titles.

According to the assessment of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ha Giang has been a destination for tourists from nearly 200 countries and regions in recent years, with the number of visitors to the province surpassing 3.2 million in the past year. These are the desired numbers of many localities in the country. Just standing at km0 of Ha Giang and standing on National Highway 2 at the beginning of Ha Giang city, we can feel the strong growth of tourism development and destinations in Ha Giang, as commented by tourism experts in recent seminars on tourism development in our province.

Continuing the momentum of tourism development will certainly be stronger in the coming years, we need to make more efforts instead of being satisfied with the current achievements, to continue building the image of Ha Giang tourism with identity, friendliness and professionalism. Therefore, it is necessary to have the cooperation of each tourist facility, each person working in tourism and the spirit of pride in the homeland of each citizen, to build an increasingly attractive tourist destination, a livable countryside.

Along with that, we need to strengthen the detection, early and resolute handling of unsightly images, uncivilized behavior in tourism, snatching, environmental issues and behaviors that damage the image of tourism if any. We are grateful for the international evaluation and honor, but we also need to show pride and responsibility to preserve, promote and continue to elevate Ha Giang tourism.
