
Comrade Dam Thanh Tung, Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune, said: After the merger, the local Party committee and government proactively reformed their governance methods, assigning tasks according to the "six clear principles": Clear person, clear task, clear responsibility, clear progress, clear effectiveness, and clear authority. Thanks to this, from an initial state of unfamiliarity, the new system has gradually become operational, ensuring smooth work without interruption and without affecting the rights of citizens and businesses.
To improve the quality of administrative procedures, Muong La commune has focused on promoting digital transformation, effectively implementing the "one-stop shop" and "integrated one-stop shop" mechanisms; deploying the "Saturday with the People" movement and the "Saturday without Boundaries" model. Ms. Le Thi Hong, Director of the Commune's Public Administrative Service Center, informed: The direct involvement of officials and civil servants in accessing online public services and assisting with administrative procedures contributes to building a friendly, people-oriented government; and helps people in remote areas gradually access digital transformation. Over the past year, the commune's Party committee and government have mobilized 9,524 officials and Party members to work directly with the people in beautifying villages and constructing public works; participating in planting 6,708 meters of green hedges; installing 703 streetlights; and clearing 79,660 meters of roads. The Public Administrative Service Center has brought machinery and equipment to 19 out of 54 villages, received 795 applications, assisted 686 people in performing online public services, integrating various personal documents; reviewed and cleaned land data for 12,419 land parcels in 9 villages, serving accurate and synchronized land management.

Mr. Song A Nua, from Hua Pieng village, shared: "Thanks to the commune officials coming to our village to guide us through the online application process, from creating an account, submitting the application, checking results, to online payment and integrating the electronic health record through the VNeID application, I found all procedures to be quick and convenient. We people are very satisfied because the government is now truly close to the people and serving them."
The satisfaction of the people is evidenced by impressive figures. As of May 2026, the Muong La Commune Public Administrative Service Center had received 18,289 applications, including 8,526 online applications. A total of 18,272 applications were processed, with 18,271 of them resolved ahead of schedule. In 2025, the commune's index for serving citizens and businesses reached 95.88/100 points, ranking first among the 75 communes and wards in the province; ranking 12th in administrative reform and 9th in digital transformation.

The operation of the two-tiered political and local government system has opened up new development opportunities for Muong La commune, forming agricultural production, trade, service, and tourism zones around the hydroelectric reservoir, contributing to socio-economic development and improving people's lives. The commune currently has 2,035 hectares of various fruit trees, nearly 200 hectares of hawthorn trees, with a projected fruit yield of over 16,000 tons by 2025; and is developing a model of fish farming with 659 cages, producing 160 tons per year. Simultaneously, it is developing tourist attractions around the Son La hydroelectric reservoir, promoting ecotourism and community tourism… This creates many job opportunities, boosts economic development, and is expected to reduce the commune's poverty rate to 6.64% by 2025, gradually improving people's living standards.

With strong political determination, a spirit of innovation, and consensus among the people, Muong La commune continues to strive to build a friendly and people-oriented political and local government system; a team of innovative and dedicated officials and civil servants serving the people; develop the private economy , production and services along the value chain linked to tourism; improve transportation infrastructure, and build a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe new rural area; contributing to gradually realizing the goal of making Muong La a developed commune and achieving new rural standards by 2030.
