In 2017, after participating in technical transfer training courses organized by the District Women's Union, Ms. Huong boldly renovated her mixed garden to grow 50 Green-skinned grapefruit trees and 10 Red grapefruit trees. After 3 years, the grapefruit trees began to yield fruit, with each grapefruit costing an average of 20,000 to 30,000 VND, helping her family earn an additional income of about 70 million VND/year. Ms. Huong shared: “Thanks to the advocacy and propaganda of the Women's Union at all levels, my family has actively participated in economic development and transformed the structure of crops and livestock. In addition, the Union regularly creates conditions for me to participate in rural vocational training courses, helping me gain more knowledge about caring for crops and livestock. Since then, my family's livestock and crop farming model has been effective, helping to bring in a good income.”
