National Creative Startup Forum - Opportunity to promote innovation for Quang Ninh

With the theme “Converging global resources to develop a creative startup ecosystem and local innovative startups”, the Forum focuses on three major focuses: Sharing new trends in startups, innovation, application of artificial intelligence, e-commerce and digital economy ; connecting cooperation between startups, investors, domestic and foreign venture capital funds; shaping the role of Quang Ninh in the national startup network, aiming to expand international cooperation in a deep and sustainable manner.

Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vu Van Dien affirmed that Quang Ninh province is committed to continuing to improve local mechanisms, policies and regulations in an innovation-friendly direction, promoting task ordering, science and technology transfer, public procurement for innovative products, prioritizing open data and digital infrastructure serving businesses. Developing "testing spaces" for AI, smart tourism, logistics, cultural - entertainment industry, night-time economy; strengthening regional connectivity and international cooperation. Accompanying startups through seed capital, intellectual property legal advice, connecting experts and investors.

In recent years, Quang Ninh has maintained its leading position in the country in terms of provincial competitiveness index (PCI), administrative reform, digital transformation (DTI) and innovation index. In particular, Quang Ninh's local innovation index (PII) has been in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest scores for many years. In its sustainable development goals, Quang Ninh has always identified creative startups as an important driving force to promote growth, diversify economic models and arouse the aspirations of the young generation.

Speaking at the Forum, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh shared that creative startups are not only an inevitable trend of the times but also an important driving force, contributing to promoting economic growth, enhancing national competitiveness and solving social problems in the context of deep international integration.

According to Deputy Minister Hoang Minh, for Vietnam to catch up and rise up in the general flow of the world, creative start-up activities need new thinking, new awareness and new ways of doing things.

The forum is an opportunity for state management agencies, businesses, startups, creative startups, scientists, experts and domestic and foreign investors to discuss, share and update global trends in creative startups, AI applications and e-commerce, and digital transformation.

In addition to thematic discussion sessions, the Forum also honored 15 outstanding innovative start-up organizations and businesses that have made many contributions to the start-up ecosystem.

On this occasion, Quang Ninh province launched the Creative Startup Campaign in the province until 2030 with the message "10,000 enterprises with publications on business and creative startups"; at the same time, signed a cooperation agreement to promote creative startup activities, honoring typical organizations, businesses and science and technology enterprises that have made many contributions to the province's startup ecosystem.

The 7th National Innovation and Startup Forum - Quang Ninh 2025 is expected to add strength to the province's startup projects to expand international cooperation, take advantage of global resources, create a boost for the startup movement, arouse the desire for innovation and creativity, and build Quang Ninh to develop rapidly and sustainably in the digital age.
