Actor Dong Duong apologizes for signing the document in the Vu Linh property dispute

On his personal channel recently, actor Dong Duong posted a clip explaining the signing of a notarized certificate confirming the house that artist Vu Linh left to Hong Phuong (artist Vu Linh's niece - PV) before.

Actor Dong Duong affirmed that he did not interfere in the property dispute of artist Vu Linh's family.

He affirmed: "The content of the will is to confirm that Mr. Nam (late artist Vu Linh - PV) said that the house at 5 Doan Thi Diem, Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City belonged to singer Hong Phuong, at that time. It was not an oral will as everyone thought. After that, things went too far. I asked the party that made the will to cancel it and not testify."

The actor once again reiterated that he has no opinion or defense of anyone involved in the property dispute. However, in the past few days, the above-mentioned evidence has been widely circulated on social networks.

"I would like to reiterate that the certificate was signed before I realized the problem. I made a clip to express my thoughts. At that time, I requested to cancel the certificate and not participate in anything. Friends and colleagues advised me to stay silent. But some online accounts included pictures of my parents, which made me very sad," he shared.

Finally, Dong Duong said he apologized and said he was wrong to sign the document.

Previously, social networks spread a clip of a party at artist Vu Linh's house, in which the late artist said that the house at 5 Doan Thi Diem, Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City belonged to Le Thi Hong Phuong (artist Hong Phuong).

Then, Dong Duong replied: "You (artist Vu Linh) said whatever you said, I will testify so that I can come over and sleep over sometimes."

Because the phrase "I am a witness" in the video is now considered an "oral will" by artist Vu Linh, Dong Duong was immediately criticized by the online community and accused of interfering too deeply in other people's family matters.

On June 11, the actor posted a clip explaining his appearance in the above video.

He admitted that he was testifying at the time. But at that time, he did not think it was a will but just a family confession.

"I don't know if the video is legally enforceable or not, but I would like to refrain from getting involved," Dong Duong said.

Regarding the inheritance dispute lawsuit over the property of Mr. Vo Van Ngoan (aka the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh) between artist Hong Nhung (artist Vu Linh’s younger sister) and Hong Loan (artist Vu Linh’s daughter), Hong Phuong said that her mother was the one who filed the lawsuit. She herself had repeatedly prevented her mother from filing the lawsuit because she knew she would lose in court.

In the lawsuit, Hong Nhung requested the court to annul the inheritance declaration document made by Ms. Loan, including: land use right certificate at No. 5 Doan Thi Diem Street (Phu Nhuan District), land use right certificate for plots 87 and 88 in Thu Duc City and a car. These assets have been transferred to Hong Loan.

Regarding the oral will mentioned in Ms. Nhung’s lawsuit, Hong Phuong said that the clips she recorded while artist Vu Linh was still alive were all accidental, “memories and love for him, with no legal value”. She herself did not think that one day the family members would sue over property disputes.

As for Hong Loan, she said she did not want to get involved in the lawsuit. However, since artist Hong Nhung filed the lawsuit, Hong Loan was willing to appear in court to regain transparency. She also authorized her lawyer to handle everything.
