New Miss Universe: From dyslexic child to most beautiful woman on the planet

Born in 2000, Fátima Bosch is a model and fashion designer in Mexico. She was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 in September. The beauty graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana, majoring in Fashion and Textile Design, and also took an advanced course at Lyndon Institute (Vermont, USA). The beauty currently owns her own fashion brand.

With a height of 1.74m, an impressive face and a radiant smile, Fátima was considered one of the strong candidates from the beginning of the competition. She was invited to compete in Miss Universe Mexico 2019 but refused to prioritize her studies. At the age of 25, she decided to conquer the most fierce beauty arena in the world.

Fátima has shared her journey of overcoming dyslexia and ADHD. These problems made learning difficult. Because she was not very active, she was bullied in school. Her efforts to overcome her barriers helped her to strive strongly to pursue her academic path and her passion for fashion.

The shocking confrontation with Mr. Nawat

At the beginning of this year's season, Fatima became the center of media attention when she frankly reacted to the harsh words of Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil - representative of the host organization of Miss Universe and Executive Director of Miss Universe Thailand.

According to the record, Mr. Nawat showed a harsh attitude when Fatima refused to participate in a photo shoot for a sponsor. The Thai businessman was accused of using derogatory words, causing Fatima to stand up and leave the hall. The new beauty queen said she wants to spend her term promoting humanitarian activities, protecting the environment, supporting migrant communities and raising awareness of empathy in society. “I want to spread hope, protect life and create meaningful change through empathy,” she shared.

As Miss Universe 2025, Fátima Bosch will begin a busy year, spending much of her time away from home. The new Miss Universe's prize includes a crown worth an estimated $5 million and a cash prize of about $250,000.
