According to the new schedule, from Monday to Saturday, peak hours are adjusted from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM, replacing the old schedule from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 5 PM to 8 PM. This means that the evening will become the period with the highest electricity prices and will last longer than before.
Off-peak hours have also changed from 0:00 to 6:00 AM the following day, replacing the previous period from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM. On Sundays, peak hours do not apply. Normal hours are from 6:00 AM to midnight; off-peak hours are from 0:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
The electricity sector recommends that customers using electricity under the three-tiered pricing system proactively update to the new time frame to plan their electricity usage accordingly, especially for high-power appliances such as air conditioners, pumps, or production activities. This will help optimize electricity costs and reduce pressure on the national power grid.
