Many special activities
In the center of Warsaw ancient city (Poland) on a day in June, within the framework of the Vietnam tourism promotion program organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, many tourists were interested in the imprint of the ancient capital of Vietnam. With a space displaying the typical Hue style and many outstanding activities, the delegation of the Hue City People's Committee and the Vietnam Tourism Industry introduced to tourists famous relics, scenic spots, and must-see destinations of Hue, along with a number of video clips introducing typical intangible heritages such as Hue Royal Court Music, "Hue - the capital of Ao Dai", "Hue - the capital of cuisine"...
Many members of the delegation wore traditional ao dai, creating a unique and outstanding feature for the tourism promotion space of an attractive destination. This highlight attracted the interested gazes of many international visitors.
The Department of Tourism said that the tourism promotion and advertising activities in Poland are part of a series of tourism promotion and advertising programs in 3 European countries from June 22 to July 2, including Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the support and coordination of units and localities (including the People's Committee of Hue City). Although the 3 countries mentioned above are 3 markets with different tourism requirements, the common point that tourists from all 3 countries aim for is the trend of spending heavily on international travel, especially products that combine cultural experiences with relaxation.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in 2024, there were 51,000 Polish visitors to Vietnam (an increase of 25% compared to 2019), and in the first 5 months of 2025 alone, there were nearly 37,000 visitors (an increase of 44.5% compared to the same period in 2024), bringing Poland to 6th place among European tourist markets. For Germany, this European country is always in the top 15 largest tourist markets of Vietnam tourism and is in the group of 5 European markets sending the most visitors (after Russia, UK, France). In 2024, it welcomed nearly 250,000 visitors and in the first 5 months of 2025, it welcomed nearly 140,000 German tourists. As for the Czech Republic, in 2024, Vietnam will welcome more than 25,800 visitors from this country, an increase of 39% compared to 2019. Many experts predict that this is a potential market for Vietnamese tourism.
To make an impression on businesses and tourists from other countries, a series of tourism promotion activities have been researched, systematically and uniquely developed, including the exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese culture", a culinary introduction program, and B2B conferences at major cultural and commercial centers in Prague (Czech Republic) and Munich (Germany)...
Director of the Department of Tourism Tran Thi Hoai Tram said that one of the special things is that the image of Hue is delicately and vividly portrayed through the image of Ao Dai on the heritage background; Hue folk melodies combined with modern arrangements, bringing a deep cultural impression to international friends. These special highlights once again help to position the Vietnamese tourism brand in general, and Hue in particular, to become a sustainable destination on the tourism map of tourists in these potential markets.

The series of promotional activities in Poland, Czech Republic and Germany is also the second series of tourism promotion programs in Europe this year that Hue has participated in. Previously, Hue City also participated in promotion in Italy, Switzerland and France in a series of activities from May 4 to 13 organized by the National Tourism Administration, Hue City People's Committee and other units.

Director of the Department of Tourism Tran Thi Hoai Tram shared that in 2025, Hue was given the right to host the National Tourism Year, with the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities". With many unique activities organized, this is also an opportunity to position the Hue tourism brand and promote and advertise tourism to businesses and international visitors.
European countries are key markets for Vietnam in general and Hue in particular. Possessing 8 world heritages recognized by UNESCO, with rich tourism resources; hundreds of folk and royal festivals and unique culinary culture... Hue is a favorite destination for tourists from all over the world. However, due to the great geographical distance, tourism information may not have reached many European tourists, so focusing on promotion and bringing tourism information to tourists from European countries is really necessary. Also from promotion and advertising activities, it will promote the exchange of visitors in the coming time when Polish and Czech tourists are exempted from visas to Vietnam under Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP of the Government, German tourists are exempted from visas to Vietnam under Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP of the Government and effectively implementing the Tourism Development Stimulus Program in 2025.
According to the representative of the tourism industry, through promotion and advertising programs, the People's Committee of Hue City and the tourism industry create conditions for state management agencies and tourism service businesses to access and learn about market characteristics and development trends, introduce typical tourism products and services to international tourism businesses participating in the program, and at the same time expand business cooperation with partners in the European market.
