Having been exposed to art since childhood, Do Anh Minh gradually fell in love with performing.

Do Anh Minh was born into a family with an artistic tradition. Having been exposed to the profession since childhood, the boy born in 2007 gradually fell in love with music and performing. In particular, after participating in a music festival in Singapore, Do Anh Minh began to nurture his dream of entering the conservatory. “At that time, my parents also clearly analyzed for me what the ‘price’ would be for me to choose to study music. And I accepted. The decision to pursue music professionally was entirely mine,” Do Anh Minh shared.

Anh Minh shared that he became familiar with percussion when he officially passed the intermediate exam of the Vietnam National Academy of Music at the age of 11. Regarding his fate with this subject, Anh Minh shared: “Many people ask why I did not choose to play drums, but I have the opinion that when learning, I should choose the most difficult and challenging thing. And I see percussion in a symphony orchestra as something I want to challenge myself with.”

Currently, Do Anh Minh is majoring in Symphony Percussion at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Recently, the 17-year-old boy has attracted attention when participating in the Bach and Shchedrin program conducted by Professor Bernhard Wulff. This is considered the "sweet fruit" after a period of enthusiastic study of Do Anh Minh.

Overcoming the pressure, the 17-year-old boy hopes to shine in the music night held on October 25, at the Grand Concert Hall - Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Do Anh Minh expressed his happiness at being chosen to perform in this special event, helping him satisfy his passion. “Learning music is very tough, talent only accounts for 1%, the rest is hard work. Practicing the piano in tears because of being ‘scolded’ is completely normal for me. So when I was chosen by the teacher for the performance, I felt recognized, my efforts were rewarded,” Anh Minh confided.

To prepare for the concert, Do Anh Minh underwent a process of continuous practice. At first, Anh Minh felt pressured because he was afraid that he would not do well and would not meet the expectations of the audience. “But thanks to the teacher's guidance and allowing us to perform a lot to practice our stage skills, I now feel quite comfortable. Of course, when I step onto the stage, I think I will be a bit nervous, but when I get into the music, it's just me and the music,” said Do Anh Minh.

Do Anh Minh hopes to fulfill his responsibility in the music night. Not only that, he hopes that music lovers will learn about another musical instrument, the marimba (one of the percussion instruments, bringing a gentle sound to the percussion).
