At the working session, the two sides had in-depth discussions on models for developing innovative ecosystems, applying high technology in smart city management, cybersecurity, AI, IoT, big data, as well as digital transformation solutions for state management and ensuring social order and safety.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, highly appreciated the dynamic development of Pangyo High-Tech Valley - known as "Korea's Silicon Valley"; and emphasized the importance of cooperation in research, technology transfer and training of high-quality human resources between the two countries in the context of the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformation taking place strongly.
Dr. Tran Hai Linh, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Businessmen and Investment Association (VKBIA), affirmed that the Vietnam-Korea Businessmen and Investment Association will continue to act as a bridge to promote the comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, especially in the fields of science and technology, cyber security, innovation and sustainable development, contributing to supporting agencies, organizations and businesses of the two countries to connect more effectively and substantially.

In the context of the strong global digital transformation, high-tech crimes and cyber threats becoming common challenges, participating in and accompanying an international cooperation mechanism sponsored by the United Nations helps Vietnam improve its legal, technical capacity and multilateral coordination in investigation, information sharing, data protection and national cybersecurity. This is also the basis for enhancing digital trust and ensuring a safe and transparent economic-investment environment, especially in areas such as e-commerce, digital finance, artificial intelligence or digital government transformation.
According to Dr. Tran Hai Linh, the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime Hanoi (Hanoi Convention) to be signed on October 25 and 26 in Hanoi will be a strategic step, helping Vietnam affirm its proactive and responsible role in the global cybersecurity ecosystem, while contributing to promoting a trustworthy and sustainable cooperation environment, thereby directly serving the goal of building a digital economy, digital society and digital government that the Party and State are persistently pursuing in the new period.
In particular, the Ministry of Public Security plays an important role in contributing to the digital transformation process, innovation and ensuring cyber security. Therefore, strengthening cooperation in these areas with an experienced country like Korea is a practical practice for the coming time.

At the end of the visit, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security delegation visited the Innovation Support Center in Pangyo Technological Valley - the incubator for many Korean unicorn enterprises. At the same time, the delegation also visited the global strategic startup support area, where enterprises continue to improve their development in the fields of AI, Robots, Big Data and Digital Security, and discussed the orientation of establishing an exchange channel to cooperate in a number of areas of interest between Vietnam and Korean technology agencies and enterprises through the Vietnam-Korea Entrepreneurs and Investment Association network and the Gyeonggido Provincial Science and Technology Promotion Agency, Pangyo High-Tech Valley.
The visit and work at Pangyo High-Tech Valley has contributed to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea, opening up many connection opportunities in the fields of technology, security, innovation and national digital transformation, towards building a digital government, digital society, and digital citizens in Vietnam.
