(HG) - On the morning of September 26, the delegation of Bac Giang province led by Mr. Le Anh Duong, Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee to exchange experiences in the model of collective economic development (KTTT), linking value chains in the agricultural sector in Hau Giang. Receiving and working with the delegation of Bac Giang province were Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee; and relevant departments and branches of the province.

Sharing at the meeting, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hau Giang province said that the province currently has 681 agricultural cooperatives, with 10,153 members; 4 agricultural cooperative unions, with 70 members and 220 agricultural cooperatives with 6,621 members; total charter capital of more than 241 billion VND. Currently, the cooperatives are diversified in terms of industries and services, meeting the needs of cooperation, production development and improving productivity and quality of agricultural products. Of which, there are currently 45 agricultural cooperatives linked with enterprises to supply inputs and consume output agricultural products; 46 cooperatives apply production processes according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, traceability of agricultural products, etc.
In particular, many cooperatives have increased the value of their products through preliminary processing, processing and developing products that meet provincial OCOP standards. As a result, there are currently 19 cooperatives with OCOP products, with 41 products recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting 3-star to 4-star standards; at the same time, they have gradually built product brands for some key agricultural products of the province.
Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hau Giang province shared experiences in operating the KTTT model and linking production chains in the province's agriculture.
In addition, every year at the beginning of the production season, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with localities to proactively invite large-scale companies and enterprises inside and outside the province to participate in cooperation, production linkage, and agricultural product consumption for farmers. On the other hand, to help the province's collective economic model operate more effectively and develop, the Provincial People's Committee has recently issued many related support mechanisms and policies on collective economic development, value chain linkage, and agricultural and rural development policies. Notably, 15 cooperative models and 3 cooperative unions have been built with synchronous investment in infrastructure and comprehensive development, operating effectively; piloting 3 circular agricultural economic models; supporting investment in mechanization in agricultural production; credit support, etc.
Members of the Bac Giang Provincial Delegation asked a number of questions in the fields of economics and agriculture in Hau Giang to exchange experiences.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Anh Duong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, highly appreciated the operation of the collective economic model of Hau Giang province, especially many cooperatives with good and creative ways of working to bring efficiency to members. Through information exchange from the functional sectors of Hau Giang province, the working delegation of Bac Giang province recognized many good experiences in operating the collective economic model, linking value chains, circular economic models, building brands, deep processing in the agricultural sector, especially many mechanisms and policies of Hau Giang province contributing to promoting the development of the agricultural sector and collective economic sector. The experiences learned from Hau Giang province will be applied and applied in practice in the province in the coming time by relevant functional sectors of Bac Giang province.
