Provincial Party Committee's 2034 Supervisory Delegation works with Ninh Son District Party Committee

On April 2, the Supervisory Delegation under Decision No. 2034-QD/TU dated January 29, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, headed by Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a working session with the Ninh Son District Party Committee on the results of leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of Resolution No. 12/NQ-TU dated December 30, 2021 of the 14th Provincial Party Executive Committee on the Climate Change Adaptation Program for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Attending were comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Tran Minh Nam, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Chamaléa Thi Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

Implementing Resolution No. 12-NQ/TU, Ninh Son District Party Committee focused on directing and developing implementation plans, achieving many positive results. Propaganda work was paid attention to and focused on, contributing to raising awareness of cadres, party members and people on environmental protection, natural disaster prevention and response to climate change. Proactively controlling environmental pollution, strengthening management, protection, exploitation, effective and economical use of water resources; many production models adapting to climate change were replicated. Forest management, protection and development were effectively implemented. Investment, renovation and upgrading of irrigation systems ensured irrigation water for production and daily life; many models of converting to dry crops and water-saving irrigation were replicated. Plans and conditions for natural disaster prevention and mitigation have been proactively developed... Up to now, the forest coverage rate has reached 50.53%, the rate of collection and treatment of solid waste in rural areas has reached 87% and in urban areas 100%, the area of proactive irrigation has reached 81%; 100% of schools and training facilities have been disseminated knowledge about climate change and natural disaster prevention...

Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council suggested that in the coming time, Ninh Son District Party Committee should focus on directing and promoting the study, dissemination and propaganda of climate change to raise people's awareness of climate change response. Focus on reviewing specific indicators for effective implementation, especially indicators on forest protection, forest coverage rate, and landslide prevention in frequently affected areas to have timely response solutions; pay attention to directing the improvement of efficiency in the fields of environment, urban areas, and mineral resource exploitation. Proactively and flexibly build production models that can adapt to climate change; review programs and projects related to climate change to include in public investment in the coming period...
