The Vietnam People's Army delegation participated in the preliminary rehearsal of the parade on Red Square.

On the evening of May 3 (local time), or early morning of May 4, at Red Square in the capital Moscow of the Russian Federation, a preliminary rehearsal of the military parade took place to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945 / May 9, 2025).

The preliminary rehearsal started at 10 p.m., but according to the organizers' plan, at exactly 2 p.m., the Vietnam People's Army delegation departed from their mobile accommodation to Red Square. Although the distance was not too far, strict security procedures as well as concerns about traffic jams in Moscow made the organizers ask the delegations to arrive early to prepare.

On the afternoon of May 3, the weather in Moscow was quite nice, sunny and warm with temperatures above 10 degrees Celsius. However, the weather got colder as the night went on. Because it was the weekend, there were quite a few people in Moscow gathered around the Red Square area.
