On October 10, 1950, in the Viet Bac War Zone, Lac Tho Warehouse (the predecessor of Warehouse J112) was established. The initial staff consisted of only 22 officers and soldiers, with rudimentary facilities, and had to hide supplies in the rugged mountains and forests. Amidst countless hardships, the collective of officers and soldiers steadfastly held their ground, kept the warehouse safe, promptly ensured spare parts and supplies for the battlefield, and contributed significantly to the Dien Bien Phu victory in 1954.

During the resistance war against the US to save the country, the unit's tasks were many times heavier. To suit the situation and tasks of the Army, the unit changed its name many times ( Hoa Binh Warehouse, Warehouse H31, Warehouse HP176 and in 1967 it was officially named Warehouse J112). Under the rain of bombs and bullets, officers and soldiers still steadfastly held their ground, protecting the absolute safety of hundreds of tons of supplies and technical spare parts. With the motto "Goods waiting for vehicles, not leaving vehicles waiting for goods", many trucks from J112 promptly overcame bombs and bullets to reach the front line. Especially, in December 1972, when the US imperialists frantically used B-52 aircraft to bomb Hanoi and many big cities, in which the defense material reserve warehouse was the key point, officers and soldiers of the unit sacrificed themselves to save the warehouse and goods, fighting while distributing, ensuring absolute safety of equipment, and promptly supporting the battlefield.

With the spirit of "One day equals 20 years", the officers and soldiers of the warehouse made an important contribution to ensuring the source of rare supplies and spare parts, maintaining the strength of equipment, together with the entire army and people to create the Great Victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South, and unifying the country.

After the country's reunification, the Warehouse launched the "Receiving Goods to Warehouse" Movement, safely bringing tens of thousands of tons of supplies to the unit, while continuing to ensure adequate and timely supplies for the task of protecting the Southwest and Northern borders. In the process of innovation, the unit has overcome difficulties in facilities, proactively applied science and technology to preserve and prolong the life of supplies, and at the same time built a solid team of officers and employees to better meet the requirements of the task.

Especially in the past 10 years, Warehouse J112 has made remarkable progress. The unit has always completed and exceeded many targets, especially in the work of inventory, preservation, and synchronization of equipment. Thoroughly implementing the resolutions and directives of superiors, the Warehouse synchronously deploys all aspects of work: Receiving, preserving, storing, maintaining, repairing, and issuing equipment and technical materials for vehicles and motorbikes, ensuring compliance with principles, timeliness, and absolute safety.

At the same time, Warehouse J112 focuses on innovating technological processes, investing in annual research of 10 to 12 solutions, initiatives, and technical improvements; applying digital transformation in preservation, maintenance, repair, and training. Political, military, and professional training are improved, associated with technical competitions and technical equipment competitions, contributing directly to improving the level and efficiency of work, building a "model, typical" and strong, disciplined unit, maintaining discipline, building an environment of solidarity and solidarity between the military and the people, and consolidating a safe area.

In addition to regular tasks, the unit is also honored to participate in many special tasks such as technical assurance for vehicles in major celebrations of the country, the Army, major exercises of the Ministry of National Defense, and is commended and rewarded by the General Department of Logistics and Engineering and the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
