Delegation of Central Inspection Commission officials researched and exchanged experiences on corruption prevention and control in Australia

Implementing the 2025 foreign affairs plan of the Central Inspection Commission and central party agencies, from September 25 to October 1, 2025, the delegation of the Central Inspection Commission led by comrade Nguyen Hong Linh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, had a program to work, research and exchange experiences on anti-corruption work in Australia.

The delegation visited and worked at the Western Australian Police Headquarters.

During their stay in Australia, the Delegation had working sessions and exchanges with leaders and officials representing agencies and organizations: Western Australian Police, Western Australian Supreme Court, Professional Standards Command (PSC) of New South Wales Police, Attorney General's Office and National Anti-Corruption Commission, Australian Ministry of Finance , Australian Ministry of Home Affairs.

The delegation worked with the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

The working sessions between the Delegation and the above agencies were open, friendly, cordial and effective with a variety of contents, meeting the requirements of research, exchange and drawing experiences on corruption prevention and control. The exchange contents focused on the main contents: Improving the level of integrity of civil servants working in the state apparatus and especially in the apparatus of the national anti-corruption organization; assessing the level of integrity of state agencies; implementing the Code of Conduct for civil servants; mechanisms for monitoring and detecting acts of corruption; reporting on fraudulent subsidies and benefits; reporting acts of violating public interests, fraud in bidding, bribery of civil servants performing public duties. Some methods to increase integrity in performing duties, documents, codes of conduct for employees to follow; providing annual training courses on integrity, professional standards for employees (online and in person)...

The delegation worked with the Professional Standards Command (PSC) of the New South Wales Police.

The delegation worked with the Attorney General's Office and the Australian National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Through the actual working program, exchanges and research with the other side, it is shown that in order to effectively prevent and combat corruption, it is necessary to study the organizational model and operation of corruption prevention agencies; enhance transparency and integrity through organizing specialized agencies to supervise the implementation of integrity and corruption prevention right from the grassroots, focusing on agencies and fields that are prone to corruption, such as: Tax, customs, finance, banking, police, courts, construction investment...; focus on controlling assets and income of officials and civil servants.

The delegation worked with representatives of the Australian Ministry of Finance.

Also within the framework of the program, the Delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Canberra, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney (New South Wales), and the Vietnamese Consulate in Perth (Western Australia). During the working sessions, the Delegation was informed about the situation of Vietnamese people living and working in Australia; the increasingly close and extensive cooperative relationship between the two countries with many increasingly in-depth cooperation programs in the economic and cultural fields between Vietnam and Australia.
