65 years ago, on October 30, 1960, after many hardships and sacrifices, the officers and soldiers of Group B90 participating in opening the strategic North-South route on the Truong Son mountain range successfully contacted Group C200 of the Southeast region in the Cay Xoai area, now Cay Xoai residential group, Dong Gia Nghia ward, Lam Dong province. This event marked a special historical milestone in the process of forming the Truong Son road - the legendary Ho Chi Minh road, contributing greatly to the victory of the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ho Van Muoi, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "The groundbreaking of the National Historical Relic Site project at Bon Cay Xoai is not only a memorial project with historical value, but also a symbol of revolutionary tradition education , fostering patriotism and national pride for future generations."

The relic site where the Ho Chi Minh Trail was established and opened has been ranked as a special national historical site by the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 2383/QD-TTg dated December 9, 2013.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony.

The project has a total investment of more than 62 billion VND, including many important items such as: Exhibition house, administration house, square and flower garden, memorial stele house, mango tree relic milestone marking area. Expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

The project was supported by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee with 42 billion VND, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and close attachment between the city named after Uncle Ho and localities across the country, continuing the tradition of "Ho Chi Minh City for the whole country, with the whole country", joining hands to preserve and promote historical and cultural values ​​of the nation.
