Son La Youth Union supports flood relief in Chieng So commune

On August 2, the Standing Committee of Son La Provincial Youth Union organized a campaign to support the people of Chieng So commune to overcome the consequences of floods.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and leaders of the Provincial Military Command visited and encouraged the youth force to support people in flood-affected areas.

Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Huoi Mot commune packaged instant noodles to transport to isolated villages.

Participating in the activity were 130 officials of the Youth Union and Children's Committee (under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province), lecturers and youth union members of Tay Bac University.

The volunteer group was divided into 2 groups, supporting in Dua Cat village and Na Loc village, Chieng So commune.

The union members coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to access areas affected by floods, participated in supporting people to evacuate, transport relief goods; focused on cleaning up school areas, clearing rocks and soil and rebuilding houses, helping people restore production and stabilize their lives.

Support activities will be implemented over 2 days (August 2 and 3).
