Da Nang businesses promote products and trade in Laos

From May 21 to 26, the Da Nang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (Department of Industry and Trade) organized a business delegation to participate in the forum on trade, investment and tourism promotion to promote the development of the East-West Economic Corridor in 2025 and the Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam Trade, Investment and Tourism Fair in 2025 in Sekong province (Laos).

This event was organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse (Laos) in coordination with the authorities of 4 southern Lao provinces with the participation of localities of 4 southern Lao provinces (Champasak, Sekong, Salavane, Attapeu), 8 provinces and cities of Vietnam (Da Nang, Quang Nam , Binh Phuoc, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Hue) and 1 locality of Thailand (Ubon Ratchathani). The forum is an opportunity for localities to introduce their potential, strengths, preferential policies to attract investment, propose cooperation contents in the fields of trade and tourism; discuss and agree on directions and solutions to improve cooperation efficiency, promote tourism, trade and investment promotion activities on the East-West Economic Corridor. In addition, the fair is an opportunity for businesses to promote and introduce cultural and tourism products; local OCOP agricultural products.

The Da Nang business delegation participating in the above 2 events included 16 businesses (including 3 businesses participating directly and 13 businesses sending products to participate through the Da Nang Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion) introducing and displaying products: coffee, dried grapefruit, green bean cake, dried seaweed, handicrafts, herbs, essential oils, agarwood, turmeric syrup, ginger tea, rice paper, wooden furniture, sticky rice wine, tools used in aquaculture...
