US businesses affirm their determination to successfully implement projects in Vietnam

On July 9, in Hanoi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Tran Luu Quang received Mr. Olivier Marquette, Chairman of AES Vietnam Corporation.

At the meeting, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Tran Luu Quang affirmed that Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for investment and business activities of foreign enterprises, including US enterprises, in accordance with legal regulations and meeting Vietnam's development requirements in the new situation.

The Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee requested relevant ministries, branches and the AES Group to continue to actively discuss to remove obstacles, promptly report and propose issues beyond their authority so that the group's projects can be implemented in the coming time, contributing to the development of Vietnam and the Vietnam-US relationship.

AES Vietnam President Olivier Marquette shared the experiences and successes of AES in investing in similar projects in other regions of the world , as well as the success of the Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant project which has been in operation since 2015; affirming the determination and commitment of the group in successfully implementing projects in Vietnam, contributing to the implementation of Vietnam's development goals in the coming years.
