The Forum was chaired by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam in coordination with the Embassy of Vietnam in Brazil . Also attending the Forum were members of the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation; Brazilian Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply Luis Renato Alcantara Rua, Brazilian Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Inacio Arruda; about 50 Vietnamese enterprises and 30 Brazilian enterprises. This is an important event, not only a bridge for the business community, promoting economic , trade and investment cooperation between the two sides, but also a vivid demonstration of friendship, strategic partnership, development cooperation; contributing to deepening, substantively and effectively the Vietnam-Brazil relationship .

At the Forum, representatives of leading corporations and enterprises of the two countries shared about the potential and orientation, cooperation plans in priority areas where both sides have great potential and strengths such as aviation; agriculture, food; heavy industry, metallurgy; energy; telecommunications, etc. Brazilian enterprises all highly appreciated the potential and said they are ready to increase cooperation and investment in Vietnam.

Brazilian Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply Luis Renato Alcantara Rua assessed that the relationship between the two countries is at a historic moment, based on the friendship between the two countries, the two peoples and the friendship between the leaders of the two countries. He said that Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva wants to promote and develop the "most perfect possible" relationship with Vietnam.
According to opinions at the Forum, Vietnam-Brazil relations have developed positively in all aspects, have been constantly consolidated and upgraded to a Strategic Partnership in November 2024. In particular, economics, trade and investment hold an important position and are always promoted. In terms of trade, Brazil is Vietnam's largest trading partner in Latin America, the second largest in the Americas, with bilateral trade turnover in 2024 reaching nearly 8 billion USD, an increase of 12.2% compared to 2024, accounting for more than 34% of Vietnam's total turnover in Latin America. In the first five months of 2025, two-way trade turnover reached 3.33 billion USD. In the coming time, the two countries have affirmed their determination to bring bilateral trade turnover to 15 billion USD by 2030.
Regarding investment, two-way investment cooperation is making many positive developments; a number of enterprises are researching and implementing practical cooperation projects in both countries in areas with much room for growth, especially high-tech agriculture; digital transformation, e-commerce; deep processing and logistics, etc.

Speaking at the forum, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that there are more difficulties and challenges than opportunities and advantages; moreover, many issues are global and national in nature, and no single country can solve them, so we must unite to overcome difficulties, uphold multilateralism, promote free trade, fight against monopoly and imposition, and not politicize trade and science and technology issues.
Regarding the relationship between Vietnam and Brazil, the Prime Minister stated that the two countries have established a strategic partnership, but more importantly, the two countries have good relations in all areas. During the talks, President Lula da Silva said that it is difficult to have a perfect relationship, but both sides will strive to make it as perfect as possible. Therefore, we must promote the relationship between the two countries to become increasingly better, to increasingly nurture and develop this relationship to be stable and long-term, with a long-term vision, contributing to maintaining peace, stability and development in the region and the world because both countries have important roles in the region.
"The two countries need to cooperate, connect, and bridge the two regions of South America and Southeast Asia. South America has advantages in resources, minerals, technology, and markets. Southeast Asia, with 700 million people, has a young, dynamic, and growing population. We need to continue promoting relations between the two countries and the two regions," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.
The Prime Minister said that the results of today's talks between the Prime Minister and the President of Brazil were extremely good: political trust was enhanced, high-level relations took place regularly; sincere support; economic relations complemented each other very clearly. The two sides agreed to expand each other's import and export items. Further expand other items; call on businesses from both countries to invest, produce, process and export in the two countries.
The Prime Minister announced that he will send a delegation including leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and a number of agricultural enterprises to Brazil in the near future to conduct research, production and deep processing. Vietnam will make an important contribution to ensuring food security for Brazil.
The Prime Minister said that friendship must crystallize into concrete results and products that bring benefits to both countries. In that spirit, the two countries need to cooperate in production, processing, and branding of Vietnam-Brazil coffee, creating a new coffee line; import and export of minerals, high-tech cooperation in the defense sector; speed up the signing of trade agreements between Vietnam and the MERCOSUR bloc, including Brazil; investment protection and promotion agreements, visas to facilitate cooperation; and expand air routes to South America via Brazil.
The Prime Minister called on businesses of the two countries to connect the two economies and strengthen cooperation to create specific products.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation agreements including: Nam Viet Joint Stock Company and the leaders of AV09 Trading Import Company signed a cooperation agreement on raising and exporting pangasius and tilapia; Trong Khoi One Member Co., Ltd. and the leaders of Fujikura Quail Genetics Company signed a cooperation agreement in the field of quail farming with a total value of 200 million USD; the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Football Club and the leaders of Gremio Football Club announced a cooperation agreement on training young football players with a total value of 3 million USD.
