One Food in Hue is the first AI (artificial intelligence) application project to promote Hue cuisine in Vietnam, carried out by Teens Titan - a group of students from the Diplomatic Academy, Champion of the Talented Communicator contest - IC Master 2023.

Launched in October 2023, the project carries the message "enjoy Hue cuisine, understand the land and people" with the mission of spreading the beauty of Hue cuisine to a wide audience at home and abroad with the support of AI technology.
The project hopes that through enjoying Hue cuisine, visitors can explore the natural beauty, cultural identity and people of this land; contributing to the sustainable development of Thua Thien Hue tourism industry in the 4.0 era.
Over the past two months, the project has carried out many communication activities to increase awareness of Hue cuisine, helping to promote the culinary culture of the ancient capital in many new forms.
The first AI chatbot about Hue cuisine
With the desire to convey the beauty of Hue cuisine using artificial intelligence tools, the project has built an AI ambassador - Chatbot O Thuc. This is the first time a chatbot specializing in cuisine in Vietnam has been launched. O Thuc is inspired by the image of the ladies and aunts of Hue with their gentle, delicate and diligent beauty. The character is a "companion" who helps guide tourists on their culinary tourism experience in the poetic land of Hue.

Chatbot O Thuc helps answer questions about cuisine, culture, and tourism in Hue completely free of charge; personalize answers according to visitors' wishes. Users can chat with O Thuc using the AI chatbot tool integrated in the message box on the One Food project Fanpage in Hue .
After launching in late October, Chatbot O Thuc received a lot of support and positive feedback. In particular, Chatbot is also used to promote to Vietnamese and international tourists at tourist attractions in Hue city. With the ability to receive and respond to information in both Vietnamese and English, the tool has helped tourists be proactive and save time when searching for restaurants and eateries in Hue.

In addition, the project also organized the contest "An no cung O Thuc" - creating short videos about Hue cuisine on TikTok. The contest contributes to promoting the beauty of Hue cuisine and Chatbot O Thuc to the public on a platform with strong influence.
After 2 weeks of organization, the contest received many unique video entries with new perspectives and introductions about Hue cuisine from young people.
The two hashtags of the contest: “#Motfoodohue” and “#Annocungothuc” reached nearly 4 million views on TikTok after just over 2 weeks of launching. In particular, the contest prizes such as: round-trip air tickets to Hue, rooms in Hue... along with Chatbot O Thuc are great luggage to help young people enjoy the cuisine when coming to Hue.

Spreading Hue cuisine with community impact
In addition to social media activities, the One Food project in Hue has conducted 5 Hue cuisine promotion trips (media tours) in Hanoi, Hue City and Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the AI-applied Hue cuisine experience across the country.

The project began introducing Hue cuisine to Miss Grand International 2023 contestants when representatives of the countries came to Hanoi to compete in early October.
The beauty queens were very excited to learn about the project and to understand more about the cuisine and culture of Hue - a destination in the journey of the contest. Many representatives such as: Miss Grand Indonesia - Ritassya Wellgreat, Miss Grand Canada - Yuliya Scherban, Miss Grand Germany - Marie Kilomzo excitedly shared about Hue and the project with international friends on their personal pages.

When she came to Hue and participated in the 4-day competition here in mid-October, Miss Grand Indonesia - Ritassya Wellgreat (5th Runner-up of Miss Grand International) said she used Chatbot O Thuc and the information posted in English on the project page to better understand Hue's culture and cuisine.
She was excited to enjoy many Hue dishes with the contestants such as: banh bot loc, com hen, bun bo and especially experience making banh khoai. The beauty also won according to the artist's choice in this cake making challenge.
A Food in Hue continued its journey at the Miss Grand International 2023 Finale in Ho Chi Minh City. The project team had the opportunity to share with beauty queens and audiences from many countries about the beauty of Hue cuisine and help international guests experience using Chatbot O Thuc.

To create direct impacts on the locality and tourists, the project has implemented 2 media tours in Hue. When implementing culinary promotion and Chatbot O Thuc in Hue City in early November, the project successfully promoted Hue cuisine to both domestic and international tourists. Many memorable memories will always remain in the memories of the project team.
Teens Titan team shared: “When promoting at Hue Imperial City, many guests from Korea, England, Italy, Canada, Spain were very excited to use chatbot to schedule meals during their days in Hue”.

In addition, the project also conducted a promotional trip to Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue, spreading the application of AI in introducing local cuisine to young people. The project team realized that, first of all, it is necessary to help raise awareness among young people in Hue about the need to further develop AI tools to support their hometown culinary experiences, amid the widespread scene of restaurants and introductory information.
To enhance the love of the young generation for cuisine, we can promote and spread the cuisine and culture of our homeland in new forms through projects such as One Food in Hue or through competitions such as IC Master.
“When we returned to Hanoi, the video of our trip to Hue to promote our project became a trend on TikTok. Many young people, restaurant staff, and even drivers in Hue commented that they saw us here and there. People not only knew about us, experienced us, but also remembered our project,” the Teens Titan team shared.

Further spreading Hue culinary culture
Sharing about the past 2-month journey of One Food in Hue , Nguyen Duc Thang - Founder and Head of the Project Organizing Committee said: "In the process of spreading the Hue culinary experience using AI to the public, I am very happy that more and more young people and international visitors are interested in and love Hue cuisine.
This is the biggest motivation for the One Food team in Hue to carry out many impactful activities in the recent past and continue to develop the project. To me, Hue is truly the kitchen of the nation. I believe that with new and unique forms of promotion, Hue cuisine will increasingly come closer to the international level."

In the coming time, the project team will actively work and cooperate with the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue with the desire to further develop the project, such as: improving the features of Chatbot O Thuc, integrating chatbot into the province's tourist passport application as a form of support for tourists with convenient dining locations every time they visit a location on this passport.
Through that, One Food in Hue has been and will continue to contribute to the digitalization of Thua Thien Hue's tourism industry.
