The industry is determined to continue strong digital transformation, innovate management thinking towards service, and make the greatest effort to jointly realize the province's growth target of 10-10.5%/year, with local budget revenue reaching 41,000 billion VND by 2030.

Completing the "dual mission" for the 2021-2025 period

State budget revenue is always a key indicator in the province's socio-economic development. Closing the 2021-2025 period, the Gia Lai Tax sector has completed the "dual task" of both exceeding the target and implementing well the support policy for people and businesses.

Specifically, the total domestic state budget revenue is estimated at 102,652 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 7.3%/year. Compared to the central budget estimate, it exceeded 25.6%; compared to the provincial People's Council budget estimate, it exceeded 12.2%.

A particularly noteworthy point is that all localities in the province have completed their assigned budget estimates, thereby ensuring regular spending needs and development tasks.

Mr. Le Minh Nhut - Head of Gia Lai Province Tax Department - assessed: The Tax Department performed its duties in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in the 2020-2022 period, causing disruptions in the supply chain and narrowing of the export market, making many businesses face difficulties.

However, with the close and continuous direction of the National Assembly, the Government, the Ministry of Finance and the province, the provincial Tax Department has promptly implemented policies on exemption, reduction and extension related to taxes, fees and land rents; thereby, supporting people and businesses, nurturing revenue sources for the budget.

In the period of 2020-2024, the total amount of taxes, fees, and land rents reduced and extended in the province reached 9,934 billion VND. Many important policies were implemented synchronously such as: Extension of payment of value added tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax, and land rent; 30% reduction in annual land rent; 50% reduction in registration fees for domestically produced and assembled cars; reduction of value added tax rate from 10% to 8% for some industries; reduction of environmental protection tax on gasoline and oil products, etc.

Support policies implemented promptly, at the right time, to the right subjects, and in the right needs have effectively helped the economy overcome difficulties, while creating a positive sentiment in society, helping business owners and production establishments feel secure in production and business, creating sustainable sources of income, and nurturing revenue sources for the state budget.

Promoting digital transformation and administrative procedure reform

Mr. Tran Van Thinh - General Director of Toyota Gia Lai (Hoi Phu Ward) shared: Through the implementation of tax support policies, including environmental protection tax on gasoline and oil - essential goods, it has directly reduced input costs for production and consumption, while stabilizing prices. On the business side, we see that this is an effective solution to help businesses and people have more momentum to recover the economy.

People benefit from costs, enterprises sell products, and the budget still has revenue.

Entering the 2025-2030 period, Gia Lai Tax Department focuses on strategic solution groups. In particular, comprehensive digital transformation in management, declaration, payment and tax refund. Electronic tax services will continue to be expanded, connected with the banking system, customs, treasury... to create maximum convenience for taxpayers, reduce time and compliance costs.
