“Coach Huynh Quoc Anh, a former national team player and a pillar of Da Nang , has shown his dedication in his new role on the coaching bench. His quiet efforts have been recognized by the board of directors and fans as an important part of the journey to bring Binh Phuoc closer to the V.League dream,” Binh Phuoc’s homepage paid tribute to coach Huynh Quoc Anh.
Before taking charge at Binh Phuoc, Coach Huynh Quoc Anh only worked as a youth coach in Da Nang. He was then loaned to Binh Phuoc as an assistant in the 2024/25 season. However, when Coach Nguyen Anh Duc left the coaching position, this strategist was unexpectedly given the responsibility of leading the first team.
Under the guidance of the 2012 Vietnam Golden Ball, Binh Phuoc had a series of sublime matches in the final stage of the season. The team won 7, drew 2 and lost only 1 in the last 10 rounds. In particular, the 3-0 victory over Long An in the final round helped Binh Phuoc win the runner-up position in the First Division, and also secured a place in the play-off match.
