On July 15th, the atmosphere at the PBC Indonesia 2025 International Open 10-Ball Pool Tournament arena fell silent as all the players, referees, organizers, and fans stood up and bowed their heads in remembrance of Chang Jung Lin, one of the icons of Asian pool billiards.
During the brief but moving memorial service, everyone turned their attention to the deceased. Many of the world's top billiards players could not hide their emotions.

Today, even as the tournament continues, the pool billiards community worldwide is competing with heavy hearts and gratitude, for we have witnessed a legend of our time.

According to information from the Taiwan Billiards Federation, on July 14th, Chang Jung Lin felt unwell after his opening match at the PBC Indonesia 2025 International Open 10-Ball Pool Billiards Tournament. The Taiwanese player returned to his hotel to rest and did not play the second match, before being found dead in his room.
The sudden passing of the 2012 World 8-Ball Pool Champion has shocked the international billiards community. Not only was Chang a talented player, but he was also known as an inspiring role model for the next generation. His years of competition were marked by passion, dedication, and a fiery playing style.
