Hopefully, fans will come to the stadium to support the Vietnamese women's team," coach Mai Duc Chung shared at a press conference before the 2025 AFF Cup semi-finals.

When asked if playing at Lach Tray Stadium with tens of thousands of fans by our side was lucky for the Vietnamese women's team, Mr. Chung replied: "For us, playing anywhere in our homeland Vietnam is already lucky. The support of the audience helps the women's team have more confidence."

The Australian women's team is considered to be the better team, but coach Mai Duc Chung believes that the Vietnamese women's team has its own advantage, which is physical strength. We played at Thong Nhat Stadium in 2014 (2015 World Cup qualifiers), or at the 31st SEA Games at Cam Pha Stadium ( Quang Ninh ).
