After traveling to Dalian (China), last night (October 8), the Vietnamese team took to the field for their first training session away from home to prepare for the upcoming friendly matches. Coach Philippe Troussier spent a lot of time in today's training session to consolidate the playing style he is building for the team, while also increasing coordination and cohesion between the lines.
The training session took place in cold weather conditions. Mr. Troussier was forced to stop the session early due to heavy rain and low temperatures that could affect the health of the players who had not yet adapted to the change in weather.

The Vietnamese team only had 2 days of training in China before the friendly match with the host team on October 10. Time was a disadvantage for coach Troussier and his team during this training session. The French coach only had enough players on October 7, right before the team left for China.
The Vietnamese team gathered from October 2. However, the players from Hanoi Police Club, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi FC and Hai Phong Club gathered late because these teams had matches scheduled in the Asian arena and the National Super Cup. Coach Troussier had to call up some U20 and U18 players to train with their seniors.
In the match against China, Coach Troussier will prioritize using the players who joined early. The late group will need time to recover physically and get back into sync with their teammates.
Today (October 9), the Vietnamese team will practice getting used to the playing field at the Dalian Sports Center. Coach Troussier and his team will face the Chinese team tomorrow (October 10) here. Then, on October 13, the Vietnamese team will play a closed friendly match with Uzbekistan before moving to South Korea.
