The unit in charge of Hanoi's drainage system earned a profit of over 16 billion VND.

(Dan Tri) - In the first half of this year, Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. recorded revenue of more than VND447 billion and after-tax profit of VND16 billion, a slight increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the introduction on the website, Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. plays a key role in managing and operating the drainage system, gradually overcoming flooding and minimizing environmental pollution in the capital.

According to the 2025 semi-annual financial report, the company recorded revenue of more than 447 billion VND, an increase of more than 2% over the same period in 2024. Of which, revenue from maintaining the drainage system accounted for 427 billion VND, the remaining about 20 billion VND from construction and service activities.

After deducting the cost of goods sold, the company's gross profit reached nearly 36.5 billion VND, up nearly 23% over the same period. The company's selling expenses increased 3 times to 165 million VND. The business management expenses in the same period accounted for the majority with a value of 18.3 billion VND, up more than 20%.

After deducting all expenses and taxes, Hanoi Drainage Company recorded after-tax profit in the first 6 months of this year reaching 16 billion VND, up 12% over the same period.

As of June 30, the company's total assets reached VND1,407 billion, an increase of more than VND110 billion compared to the beginning of the year. Of which, bank deposits increased sharply to more than VND61 billion, nearly 1.5 times higher than the beginning of the year.

The enterprise has no bank loans, while its liabilities of about VND954 billion are mainly obligations to customers, employees and internal welfare and reward funds.

Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Hai Ba Trung Ward, Hanoi, with a charter capital of 459 billion VND. Established in 1973, the predecessor was the "Drainage Team" under the city, the unit responsible for managing and operating the inner-city drainage system.

In 1991, the organization was transformed into Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd., which has been operating until now.

In addition to managing and operating the drainage system, the company also expands its production and business lines in the fields of project consulting, design survey, construction and installation of urban infrastructure works, drainage services, environmental sanitation and wastewater treatment.

Currently, this enterprise has 11 affiliated enterprises, including drainage enterprises No. 1 to No. 8, along with other specialized units, responsible for maintaining and operating the drainage system and handling flooding in Hanoi.
