(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of July 31, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee and Command held a conference to hand over the positions of Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard. Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Party Committee Secretary and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard; Major General Tran Van Bung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard. Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command chaired the conference.
At the conference, Colonel Le Van Tien, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, signed the minutes of handing over the position of Political Commissar to Colonel Ngo Minh Dien, Deputy Political Commissar; temporarily handing over the position of Party Secretary to Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Deputy Party Secretary, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

Colonel Le Van Tien joined the army in February 1986, held various positions at the grassroots units on the two land and sea borders, and served nearly 9 years as Deputy Political Commissar, before being appointed Political Commissar of the provincial Border Guard. At the conference, he expressed his gratitude to all officers, soldiers and people on the two borders for their solidarity and support in helping him complete his tasks well.
Speaking at the ceremony to accept the assignment, Colonel Ngo Minh Dien promised that in his new position, he would put all his heart and responsibility into continuing to inherit and promote the achievements of the Provincial Border Guard, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Border Guard, requested Colonel Ngo Minh Dien to continue studying and grasping the functions and tasks of the Border Guard, the responsibilities and tasks of the Political Commissar to propose to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Command policies and measures for leadership and direction to improve the quality of Party work and political work of the unit, build the Quang Binh Border Guard strong in all aspects, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

It is known that Colonel Ngo Minh Dien once worked at the Border Guard Command and always showed himself to be a responsible and dedicated officer. He was appointed by the Minister of National Defense to the position of Deputy Political Commissar and is currently the Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard.
On this occasion, Colonel Ngo Van Dung, Chief of Political Affairs, was also appointed by the Minister of National Defense to the position of Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard.
