DTO - For 2 days (June 6-7), at the hall of the District Political Center, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Cao Lanh district organized the 11th Congress of the VFF in Cao Lanh district, term 2024 - 2029. Attending the Congress were comrades: Vo Chi Huu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee, Le Chi Thien - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Bui Tan Phuoc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Nguyen Minh Tuan - Acting Chairman of the Cao Lanh District People's Committee. Also attending were representatives of the leaders of specialized agencies advising and assisting the Cao Lanh District Party Committee and 166 delegates representing all walks of life, religious organizations, and outstanding individuals in the district.

In the 2019 - 2024 term, the Fatherland Front (VFF) at all levels in the district continues to promote its role and responsibility in the political system and social life. The content and methods of operation continue to be innovated, more clearly demonstrating the political alliance, voluntary association with member organizations, typical individuals in the people, religious organizations, and overseas Vietnamese. The role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, the function of supervision and social criticism are effectively implemented according to regulations. Promoting the people's mastery in participating in Party building and building a clean and strong government.

The Presidium chaired the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Cao Lanh district for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Notably, the 5 action programs of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district were implemented, achieving and exceeding 9/10 main targets compared to the plan. Campaigns, movements, and emulation programs were widely deployed such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Join hands for the poor - No one is left behind". Along with that, the quality of activities of community self-management models associated with "Great Unity Day for the community", supervision work and giving opinions on Party building, building a clean and strong government were actively responded to by a large number of union members, association members and people. Thereby, contributing to socio -economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Cao Lanh achieved the new rural district standard in 2020 and was honored to be awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renewal period by the President in 2021 with significant contributions from the Great Unity Bloc of the people in the district.

Delegates participate in voting on important issues at the Congress.

Implementing well the motto of action: "Where there are people, there are activities of the Fatherland Front". The Congress focused on discussing and approving important goals and targets for the 2024 - 2029 term such as: 100% of cadres in the Front system and Heads of Self-Managed People's Groups participating in Cooperative and Association members. Strive by 2029, at least 95% of households are recognized as meeting 15 criteria of emulation households "Joining hands to build advanced and exemplary new rural areas". Every year, 100% of poor and near-poor households are visited and given gifts on holidays and Tet; 100% of households affected by natural disasters are supported and assisted according to regulations.

Members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Lanh district for the 2024-2029 term were introduced to the Congress.

The consultative congress elected 59 delegates to be members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Lanh district for the 2024 - 2029 term. At the first session, the consultative delegates elected 4 members to join the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Lanh district, and elected comrade Nguyen Van Duc to be re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Lanh district for the 2024 - 2029 term. At the same time, the consultative congress elected 19 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2024 - 2029.
