In late August and early September 2025, new students from various localities gathered in Da Nang city to complete enrollment procedures. Accordingly, many activities to support new students were implemented by colleges and universities. At the University of Technology, Da Nang University, the dedicated student accommodation search application, BK's Map 2025, was relaunched. The application has a rich database of available rooms, which is continuously updated and reviewed by the University of Technology's Student Counseling Team ( thuộc University of Technology) to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Accordingly, students looking for accommodation can simply access the application, select an area, and easily find available rooms with complete real photos, prices, locations, and contact phone numbers, avoiding deposit scams and brokers inflating rental prices.
According to a representative from the Polytechnic University's Student Counseling Team, to ensure a diverse range of accommodation options, before welcoming new students, the team encouraged students currently residing around the campus to contribute information about available rooms to the application. Each student receives up to 5 community service points for their helpful contributions.
Similarly, the Student Union of Dong A University also effectively maintains the Accommodation Bank model. To date, Dong A University's Accommodation Bank has more than 4,000 accommodations that are continuously updated with complete images, prices, quality, location, and contact phone numbers, helping students easily find accommodation that meets their needs.
According to a representative from the Dong A University Student Union, the volunteer team assisting new students with accommodation is divided into three groups: one group responsible for directly advising new students on rooms upon enrollment; one group assisting with transporting parents and students to view rooms; and one group providing initial support at the accommodation to help new students get acquainted and settle into their new living situation.
Phan Thi Diem Nhi (from Gia Lai province) came to Da Nang city for the first time to enroll at Dong A University and received support and advice from senior students in finding accommodation near the school. After identifying a potential place to rent, Nhi and her mother were assisted by the support team who transported them to the rental property and helped move their luggage to the accommodation.
"I feel very lucky to have received such enthusiastic support from the Volunteer Team for New Students. They accompanied me from advising and giving free rides to view rooms to helping me buy essential living supplies," Nhi shared.
Meanwhile, the Student Union of the Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education , University of Education, Da Nang University, also implemented the "Introducing Reliable Accommodation" program to help new students quickly find suitable housing so they can focus on their studies.
Besides recommending reputable accommodation options, the Student Union of the Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education also shared important tips for new students when searching for accommodation... This helps new students, especially those from out of town, to confidently enter a stable new learning environment.
