Simultaneously started and inaugurated 250 projects and works worth 1.28 million billion VND

This morning, August 19, the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of 250 projects and works took place simultaneously at 80 locations in 34 provinces and cities across the country.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, the Government organized online groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for about 250 projects at 80 locations in 34 provinces and cities across the country this morning, August 19.

The National Exhibition Center is one of the typical projects inaugurated on August 19.

The total investment of 250 projects and works is up to 1.28 million billion VND. Of which, 89 projects and works were inaugurated; 161 projects and works started construction. This is considered a particularly important event, a brilliant milestone in the glorious history of building and defending the country of the nation.

Of which, transport infrastructure has 59 projects and works; civil - urban works: 44 projects and works; industrial works: 57 projects and works; technical infrastructure: 36 projects and works; social housing: 22 projects and works; agriculture and rural development: 6 projects and works; culture and sports: 3 projects and works; education: 12 projects and works; national defense: 1; health: 10 projects and works.

According to Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan, in 250 projects, there are: 8 important national projects, 46 group A projects; 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects. The total investment is 1.28 million billion VND; of which, state capital with 129 projects: 478,000 billion VND, accounting for 37% of the total and 121 projects from other sources: 802,000 billion VND, accounting for 63% of the total.

250 projects will contribute over 18% of the country's GDP in 2025 and over 20% in the following years. Projects using state budget capital will create a strategic infrastructure framework to guide private investment.

Of the total 250 projects and works eligible for inauguration and commencement, 80 online and live television stations will be selected, the remaining projects will be simultaneously inaugurated and commenced.

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. on August 19 at the central bridge at the National Exhibition and Fair Center, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi City.

Other major bridges are located at the Ngoc Hoi bridge project and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge (Hanoi); Gia Binh airport (Bac Ninh province); Dong Van ward resettlement area (Ninh Binh); Nghe An Oncology Hospital (Nghe An) and Hai Anh wind power plant project (Quang Tri province).

Ho Chi Minh City will organize a bridge at the Saigon Marina International Financial Center; Dong Thap province will organize the inauguration of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge.
