Dong Nai held a meeting to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day

(DN) - On the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2025), on the afternoon of October 13, at The Mira Central Park Conference Center (Tam Hiep Ward), Dong Nai Province Business Federation coordinated with Dong Nai Province Young Entrepreneurs Association to organize a program to meet, express gratitude and connect the business community and businesses in the area.

Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13) was officially recognized by the Prime Minister in 2004. Over the past two decades, the Vietnamese business community has grown steadily, becoming a core force in economic development, contributing more than 60% of GDP, creating jobs for 85% of the country's workforce and bringing Vietnamese brands to the international level. In particular, the private enterprise sector and young entrepreneurs have increasingly affirmed their position, playing a leading role in the process of modernization, greening and deep integration with the global economy.

Dong Nai is one of the localities with the largest economic scale in the country and has a strong attraction for the business community, start-up entrepreneurs, and production and business. Up to now, Dong Nai has more than 70 thousand businesses registered on the national business registration information portal; Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association alone has connected and gathered more than 700 business owners into the association.

In the current period, the private economy is increasingly asserting its important role as a driving force of the economy. Dong Nai Business Federation, Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association and professional business associations will continue to promote their role as a solid bridge between businesses and the government; will be a common home connecting, supporting, spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship, creativity and social responsibility of Dong Nai businessmen in the integration period.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc acknowledged the efforts of the local business community and enterprises. Despite many difficulties, Dong Nai businessmen still demonstrated their mettle, creativity, and overcoming difficulties, maintaining production while transforming business models, investing in technological innovation, improving competitiveness, and expanding domestic and foreign markets.

Provincial leaders affirmed: Dong Nai identifies enterprises as the center and driving force of development, the success of enterprises is the success of the locality. Dong Nai has been focusing on strongly implementing the motto "government accompanies enterprises", through strongly improving the investment environment, enhancing competitiveness, accelerating digital transformation in management and public services.

Dong Nai and local businesses are facing new opportunities with strategic transportation projects including Long Thanh International Airport, highways, and a series of new industrial parks and modern urban areas. This creates a “golden opportunity” for businesses to continue investing, expanding production, cooperating, innovating technology, improving productivity and moving towards green and sustainable development.
