Accordingly, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requests agencies and units to implement the following contents: Dong Thap province's Hydrometeorological Station closely coordinates with the Central Meteorological Agency to monitor and promptly update forecasts and warnings of dangerous natural disasters. This unit is responsible for providing hydrometeorological information to competent agencies and marine vehicles for proactive response.
The Provincial Military Command closely monitors warning bulletins and forecasts of bad weather at sea, coordinates with Border Guard Stations, Control Stations, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and related units to count boats, notify and guide fishermen operating at sea to know the weather developments to avoid and not enter dangerous areas. Units simultaneously prepare means, forces, and disaster response plans, ensure the safety of people and property; strictly handle cases of deliberately going to sea when there is a warning.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment organizes a serious on-duty team, continuously updates data, reports and advises the Provincial People's Committee, and sends it to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control) for coordination and direction when natural disasters occur.
The entire province has been asked to raise vigilance, prepare rescue forces and means, strictly implement regulations on natural disaster prevention and control, and not be subjective in the face of extreme weather conditions.
