Dong Thap builds the first book street in the Mekong Delta

Cao Lanh City Book Street (Dong Thap) has started construction and is expected to be put into use on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20, 2022.

On September 21, the People's Committee of Cao Lanh City ( Dong Thap ) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Cao Lanh City Book Street at Van Mieu Park ( Ward 1, Cao Lanh City). This is the first book street in the Mekong Delta region.

Cao Lanh City Book Street is implemented by Saigon Sea Star Joint Stock Company with a total area of ​​about 2,300 m2 ^. The book street is designed according to each rich and diverse cultural space , including: 6 book stalls, 2 library stalls, 8 cultural and souvenir stalls; at the same time, there is also an exhibition and display area in the Temple of Literature area , 1 book cafe stall, executive office; stage and square to organize book fairs and major events.
